This thread is made to discuss Marvel's latest movie, Avengers:Age of Ultron. There will be plenty of spoilers ahead.
Spoiler alert.
So has anyone else seen the movie yet? I'm curious what everyone's views on Ultron's plan was, how it turned out, and what you guys think about the creation of vision by ultron? Does this mean we can expect the next movie to involve the infinity gauntlet, or at least give some hints to the infinity gauntlet becoming a thing? Thor saw the other infinity gauntlet stones from the vision, so he knows there's other stones, and that Vision's gem one is one of four.
On a spoiler free-ish side note, do you guys think spiderman will ever join the avengers in the movies? In certain continuities, spiderman has joined the avengers. Then again, in the comics I believe ant-man is the one that creates ultron, not tony stark.
On that same vine of ant man, do any of you expect ant-man to show up in the avengers at all once his movie is out, or are they going to ignore him for longer?
The ant-man will be played by Scott, the second ant-man, but the original will be in the movie, just not AS ant man. He wont even be yellow jacket. He will be there though. Hank Pym, creator of Ultron in the comics, (spoilers) is not in the avengers at all. Not even mentioned. In avengers 2, Hank is non-existent. In essence, he had nothing to do with ultron in this continuity, it was all Tony. Tony even remarked that it was his idea to create a peace keeper robot. In the comics, however, it was Hank's vision, and Tony's tech that created ultron, not the other way around. So basically, in the avengers time line, it seems that Hank Pym must have never became ant-man. Or if he did pre-ant man movie, he must have never dealt with Tony Stark or the avengers.
Also, Thor remarked about how his asgardian alcohol could not be handled by humans, but stan lee took a full shot of it and left drunk. We have human alcohols that can fuck you up that much. Stan lee confirmed to have a bionic liver and intestines?
Also, can we agree that the whole hulk buster thing wasn't nearly as good as they were hyping it up to be? The ads hyped that fight up like it was a focal point of the movie. It was big destruction, but the final fight against Ultron was better by far.
Anyways, give me your thoughts on the movie. Friendly reminder by the way that ultron is a far better villain than Loki, and he decided to destroy humanity, rather than save it, after only a couple of minutes on the internet.
